Quarry:
An excavation from which building stone is obtained;the act of thaking stone from the ground.

Quarry bed:
A plane in a building stone that was horizontal before the stone was cut from the quarry.

Quarry sap:
Excess water found in rock at the time of its quarrying.

Quarry tile:
A large clay floor tile.

Quartersawn:
Lumber sawn in such a way that the annual rings run roughlt perpendicular to the face of the veneer.

Quartersliced:
Veneer sliced in such a way that the annual rings run roughly perpendicular to the face of each veneer.

Quoin ( pronounced "coin"):
A corner reinforcing of cut stone or bricks in a masonry wall,usually done for decorative effect.
